RAK Civil Engineers is a family owned and operated professional civil engineering firm organized to provide engineering services, preliminary engineering, planning, construction administration, stormwater control and pollution prevention plans and surveying services to educational clients, public, private and government agencies throughout California. Its staff includes a dynamic team of engineers, project managers, technicians, drafters and designers with cumulative experience totaling over 60 years.
The history of Robert A. Karn & Associates, Inc. can be traced back over seventy-five years to 1943, when J.Y. Long first opened his civil engineering firm in Vallejo, California. Through a series of successive ownership changes, the firm continued building on its solid reputation in the region, transferring ownership to Edward P. Schwafel in 1946; Bissell & Karn in 1982, Greiner in 1990; and in 1995 the firm was established as Robert A. Karn & Associates, Inc. Currently under new ownership, Justin Petrini, PE is the principal engineer, along with the addition of Gene Petrini who has over 40-year experience in Land development and Construction, throughout Northern California. RAK strives to provide exceptional client service, meeting, or exceeding expectations through a “client first” approach.
Community Involvement
RAK Engineers is actively involved in the local Fairfield community including sponsorship with Leaven Kids, Mcbride Sports and The Suisun City Police Activities League.
